Solid Caliber Chess Boards
This is the one that started it all: the Caliber Chess set. The boards are made from solid wood so they have a solid feel. This board is made from one solid piece of Jatoba measuring 13.25” x 13.25” and 2.75” tall. Each set comes in a custom box made from 100% reclaimed wood assembled for the individual board so that no 2 boards are exactly alike. The pieces themselves are made from real shell casings and have been carved to represent their positions on the board (except for the pawns). Each set has a compartment in the board itself for storing the pieces when they are not in use or on display. All of the pieces have been polished and sealed to prevent tarnishing.
As these boards take a lot of time and care to construct, I can only make so many of them. So each board comes with a numbered certificate indicating which board of the limited series made you now proudly own.
